Job Description:

The Women's Services Clinical Coordinator must be able to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Well Baby Nursery settings with a centralized teamwork-based approach. The Clinical Coordinator is a highly visible "go to" person that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, family members, and other visitors on the Women's Services Unit. The Women's Services Clinical Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Women's Services, assisting with various administrative functions as necessary.

• Serve as a role model for other clinical employees and promotes teamwork, integrity, and continuous practice improvement
• Unit schedule posting
• Implementation of Texas AIM initiatives and data collection
• Maternal and Neonatal Level Designation
• Guide the development, implementation, education, and documentation of evidence-based best practice guidelines, care delivery, and process improvement
• Improve EMR documentation, identify quality issues, and facilitate solutions
• Policy review and revision
• Unit meetings
• Maternal and Neonatal Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement meetings
• Duties/task subject to change based on unit needs INDTEX Experience Preferred
  • At least 2 years in leadership, supervisory, or manager-level experience preferred. Education Required
    • Bachelors or better in Nursing Licenses & Certifications Required
      • C-AHA/AAP-NRP
      • C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac
      • C-AHA ACLS
      • L-TX-RN LicensePreferred
        • C-AWHONN-Int Fet Mon Behaviors Preferred
          • Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
          • Functional Expert: Considered a thought leader on a subject
          • Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
