Location: Waco TX.- Electrolit Manufacturing USA (EMUSA) Plant Position Summary The primary responsibility of the SQF Practitioner will be to maintain all aspects of product quality control and compliance. This role is critical in ensuring that all operations align with Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, FDA, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, auditing, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to implement and manage food safety programs effectively. This position will be working with sensitive information therefore it will require an NDA. The SQF Practitioner will report to the Quality Manager. Principal Duties Implement, and maintain the SQF system, ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and certification bodies. Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Train and support production staff in food safety best practices, HACCP principles, and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Investigate and address non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Maintain all documentation, records, and reporting required for audits and regulatory compliance. Oversee supplier verification programs and ensure compliance with ingredient and packaging specifications. Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to foster a culture of food safety. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Knowledge SQF Practitioner certification (or ability to obtain). 3+ years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or compliance in a food or beverage manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, and HACCP requirements. Experience with GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards is preferred. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Skills Strong knowledge of MS Project and MS Office. Must be fluent in English, Spanish preferred. Science/Engineering - Using scientific and engineering rules and methods to solve problems. Inductive Reasoning - The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events) Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision making. Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering Life Science, Biology or Chemistry preferred.. Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt and Certified PM preferred. Other Requirements Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
