  • Travel Nursing position available at HCA Healthcare-affiliated facility.
  • Shift will be NIGHTS at Medical City Dallas.
  • The role is for an RN in the PICU (645) unit.
    • Job Requirements
    • Candidates must have PALS and BLS certifications.
    • 2+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE is required, with at least two years of Pediatric Critical Care Experience.
    • Active TX RN LICENSE required - temporary license not accepted.
    • Must be skilled in managing pediatric critical care patients in a high acuity setting.
      • Schedule Information
      • Assignment Length: 13 weeks.
      • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week.
      • Night shift position.
      • Weekend and Call Requirements to be discussed during the interview.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Documentation system used is Meditech.
        • Unit Specifics such as disease processes, pressure lines, ventilated patients, drips, complex trauma and pediatric postop patients handling required.
        • Floating policy: As needed.
        • Experience with critical care management.
        • Procedures performed on unit include Foley insertions, trans-pyloric feeding tubes, dressing changes, port access, etc.
          • Additional Details
          • Special Skills/Experience required: Foley insertions, trans-pyloric feeding tubes, dressing changes, port access, among others.
          • Floating Guidelines: Travelers are first to float (NICU, CHSU, general pediatrics, and peds hem/onc units).
          • Dress code includes scrub color - RN: Blue, neat and clean nails, hair, and no extreme styles or colors.
          • Patient Experience Required with complex pediatric postop and trauma patients.
