Equipment and Service Sales Representative



Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities


Sales & Marketing


? Successfully learn and effectively communicate The organization?s products and services and their features and benefits to current and prospective customers in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity, and superior understanding of the customer?s needs


? Identify prospects, customers, and referral sources and develop/maintain relationships to ensure attainment of company business goals


? Actively manage short- and-long term leads and to qualify prospects and advance them through the sales process


? Conduct on-site visits with current and prospective customers to promote The organization?s as a leader in the adhesive industry


? Educate current and prospective customers on the benefits of The organization?s products and services


? Respond to technical inquiries from customers and prospects for troubleshooting assistance, requests for quotations, equipment recommendations and demonstrations.


? Investigate and professionally resolve any customer issues


? Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with current and prospective customers to solicit orders


? Perform market assessments, competitor analysis, pricing strategies. Draw conclusions from market assessment data on the competitive environment and the company?s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and targets, and provide advice to respective departments or management


? Develop a strategic sales plan that identifies prospects and customers, prioritizes them according to importance and ability to provide results


? Develop a call schedule to adequately cover territory and provide reports and data on results


? Develop and execute annual marketing strategy in conjunction with the Sales Manager


? Continuously acquire new knowledge and skills that benefit The organization?s and its customers


? Understand and comply with the sales system and programs in place



Administrative


? Communicate effectively with the Customer Service, Equipment and Service Department, Shipping and Receiving, Sales Department, and Management; informing and updating them regularly on any issues that might impact their respective departments to guarantee that sales and client objectives are met


? Follow company systems and procedures


? Participate as a key team player by supporting operations as needed


? Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts



Team Player


? Work to achieve both personal and company wide goals


? Willingness to step outside sales role to help the team


? Be a part of a enthusiastic and dynamic work culture



Desired Skills & Experience


Education and Experience Requirements


? Experience working in/with manufacturing or a related industry


? 5-7 years of industrial sales experience


? Associates/Bachelor?s Degree or Diploma from a trade school


? Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel



Preferred Skills and Abilities


? Electrical and Mechanical technical aptitude


? Strong customer service and communication skills


? Strong selling skills and sales training


? Recognize sales opportunities beyond the customer?s perceived needs or requirements


? Ability to be persistent and determined, and to handle rejection


? Ability to build and sustain relationships with customers


? Knowledge of Contact Management Systems


? Goal orientated self starter


? Willingness to work in a hands-on and get dirty environment


? Ability to relate to maintenance personnel
